Angelo Tunnera, of Cos Cob, passed away March 12, 2024, at age 90. He was born in Acri, Cosenza, Italy
on June 9, 1933, to Annunziato and Maria Antonia Tunnera. Angelo came to the United States in 1972 and
worked for many years as a machine press operator for Pitney Bowes.
He is fondly remembered for his love of gardening and his love of bocci, playing cards and family. Angelo is now reunited in Heaven with his wife, Maria.
He is survived by his cherished sons, Andrew “Nuccio” (Nieva), Francesco (Geraldine) and Albano (Tracy), her loving grandchildren, Julianna, Alyssa, Rhys, Eamon, Brenna, and Denis, and siblings, Salvatore Tunnera, Damiano Tunnera, Marizza Pucci, Anna Manieri, Immacolata Pucci and predeceased by his sister Giuseppina Altomari.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday 10:00am at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, followed by entombment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
