Set to Begin on Friday, Greenwich’s Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Prohibition Has Teeth

Seasonal gas-power leaf blower restriction will go into effect May 23 at 6:00pm. The restrictions continue until September 30. (Properties over 2 acres may resume use after September 1.)

 

Electric-powered leaf blowers are allowed throughout the year.

No kind of leaf blower can be used between after 6:00pm or before 8:00am Monday through Friday or after 6:00pm or before 9:00am on Saturday.

There is no leaf blower usage allowed at all on Sundays.

Educational fliers are available here for residents to give to landscapers.

If you see a violation while the restrictions are in place you can call 203-622-8006. The fines will be $100 for a first offense and $249 for subsequent offenses.
