Parking Services to Issue 100 Merchant/Employee Parking Permits in Central Greenwich

The Department of Parking Services is pleased to announce that the Board of Selectmen has recently approved the implementation of a parking permit program for merchants and their employees with a business within established boundaries of the central Greenwich business district.

Parking Services will be issuing 100 parking permits to qualified employees that will be valid in any one of the 10 long term (12-hour) municipal parking lots in central Greenwich.

The annual cost of these permits, including CT sales tax and a $5.00 processing fee, will be $725.00. This cost will be prorated to the first day of the month in which the permit is issued. Permits will be valid thru the remainder of 2021.

Parking Services will begin accepting applications for these permits on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

The deadline to submit applications will close at 4:00pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. A lottery system will be utilized if the demand exceeds the approved allocation of 100 permits. An application form, along with a detailed list of the program’s regulations and defined boundaries, can be found on the Parking Services page of the Town of Greenwich website or can be obtained in person at Parking Services between 8:30am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
