The League of Women Voters of Greenwich will conduct more than 30 voter education activities from September through Election Day, helping residents understand what is on the ballot, learn about Connecticut’s voting options and make informed decisions in the November 3 general election.
“There are some changes in voting rules this year, and voters understandably have questions,” said Mary Browne, President of LWV Greenwich. “The League’s mission is to empower voters by providing accurate, nonpartisan information. This fall, we are bringing that information directly to the community and making it easier than ever for Greenwich voters to be #VoteReady.”
Helping Voters Understand New Voting Options
LWV Greenwich will begin its fall programming with “Absentee Ballots & Early Voting: A Conversation with Greenwich Election Officials,” a Zoom webinar on Tuesday, September 22, from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
The program will feature Greenwich’s Registrars of Voters and Town Clerk and will cover three ways to vote in Greenwich and changes to Connecticut’s new no-excuse absentee voting process. LWV Greenwich representatives will moderate the conversation, with time reserved for questions from the audience. Registration is required.
The League will also bring election information directly to residents at Greenwich Public Schools Open Houses, where volunteers will provide parents and other community members with nonpartisan information about the November election and voting options.
In addition, LWV Greenwich will partner with community organizations—including the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, Neighbor to Neighbor, the Retired Men’s Association, Greenwich YMCA, YWCA Greenwich, Greenwich Communities and the Wallace Center—to reach voters through events and activities in their own communities.

A New One-Stop Election Information Center
This year, LWV Greenwich has expanded its voter resources with a dedicated online Election Information Center, providing a one-stop resource for Greenwich voters preparing for the November election.

The Election Information Center explains Connecticut’s three ways to vote—on Election Day, through early voting or by absentee ballot—and provides key election dates, registration information, polling locations and resources to help voters make a voting plan.
Candidate Debates: Hear Directly from Candidates
LWV Greenwich will host two live candidate debates in October. Both will be open for in-person attendance and available to watch via Zoom.
On Wednesday, October 14, LWV Greenwich will host debates at First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich featuring candidates for Connecticut State Senate District 36 and State Representative Districts 149, 150 and 151. Register here.
On Monday, October 19, LWV Greenwich and 10 other Fairfield County Leagues of Women Voters will partner to host a debate at the Westport Library featuring candidates for US Representative for Connecticut’s 4th Congressional District.

The League is also publishing its popular LWV Greenwich Voters’ Guide again in 2026. Scheduled for publication before the end of September, the Voters’ Guide will provide practical election information—including how to register and vote, absentee ballot information and polling locations—along with candidates’ responses to questions about important issues.
Candidate information will also be available through VOTE411.org, the League of Women Voters Education Fund’s nonpartisan online voter information resource.
Getting Out the Vote
LWV Greenwich will hold six Get Out the Vote postcard-writing sessions throughout September and October. Volunteers will write to newly registered voters and voters who were inactive during recent municipal and state elections. Volunteer registration is available through the LWV Greenwich website.
