UPDATE Feb. 19, 10:30a.m.: GFP spoke to Marsha Stocker, the real estate agent from Love Realty in White Plains who has the listing for 68 Greenwich Avenue. Stocker said that because Two’s Company was a “concept store,” the intention of the owners was never to remain permanently on Greenwich Ave., but rather to garner information through a retail outlet.
“The owners sell to the trade and they did it to get information. They never intended to stay forever,” said Stocker, who said Two’s Company holds amazing sales in Elmsford at 500 Saw Mill River Rd. (Facebook)
Stocker said that both the storefront and upstairs space at 68 Greenwich Ave are for rent. She hopes to lease them both to the same tenant, but that it is possible to separate the spaces for two tenants. She can be reached at (914) 761-8880, extension 13.
The empty store at 68 Greenwich Ave, home to Two’s Company for about 2-1/2 years, is for rent.
The family-owned gift and accessories shop opened in October 2011, was a great place to shop for frames, scarves, jewelry and home décor at affordable price points. The store was participated in community activities, taking a GHS intern each June, for example.
It’s always sad to see a family-owned store close, but also the store managers, Jennifer Edellson and Whitney Ramaley, were were so helpful and genuinely friendly.
A phone number to cal to rent the store and the upstairs space leads to Love Realty of White Plains. GFP left a message there for Marsha Stoecker.
GFP is looking into what happened and will update the story.
