Padel, a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and squash, has seen explosive growth across Europe and Latin America and is now gaining significant momentum in the United States. The Stamford Town Center location provides the entire Stamford community and surrounding areas access to a state-of-the-art glass-enclosed padel court.

“We’re excited to introduce padel to a whole new audience by bringing it directly into the retail environment,” said Bruce Townsend, one of the founders of Padel at Pickleball America. “We have created a unique opportunity for shoppers to discover this international, social and accessible sport.”

In addition to the world-class panoramic court by Sportsfield Specialties, they will have an adjacent lounge and pro shop where players can relax and purchase the latest in Padel equipment and apparel.

“This innovative concept transforms traditional mall space into an active, community-focused destination,” said Dan Stolzenbach, General Manager of Stamford Town Center. “We’re delighted to offer our visitors not just shopping, but exciting new recreational experiences that bring people together.”

Pickleball America at Stamford Town Center is located on Level 4, in the mall’s wellness wing.

Operating hours are 6:00am to 10:00pm daily. Court reservations can be made after creating a free guest account through the Pickleball America website, www.pickleballamerica.us.

A ribbon cutting celebration will be held in mid-May at the Padel Court.
