Moon is Open in Former Asiana Space on East Putnam Ave

A third restaurant in as many weeks has opened in downtown Greenwich.

After top-to-bottom renovations, a new restaurant, Moon, opened on Jan 21 at 130 East Putnam Ave. This is the space formerly home to Asiana Café.

Moon joins newcomers Kissaki, an Omakase restaurant at 255 Greenwich Ave and SweetGreen at 102 Greenwich Ave.

General manager Moses Laboy is a New York City hospitality veteran who has been featured on numerous TV shows including Chopped, Beyond The Bar, Wendy Williams Show and HGTV, and written about in Town & Country and the Wall Street Journal.

The restaurant features numerous safety features and they accept reservations.

Starters include East Coast Oysters, Rock Shrimp Tempura, and Spiced Squash Soup, Grilled Octopus and Grilled Prawns.

Main courses include Colorado Lamb Loin, Black Cod, Dayboat Scallops & Clams, Half Chicken, and Cauliflower Steak.

Fun cocktails include the “Smoke Signal,” with Sagamore clove infused rye, demerara, cinnamon/star anis smoked glass, and angostura/orange bitters. Or try that “New Fashion Hudson,” with bourbon, maraschino, absinthe, chamomile/orange bitters, and an orange twist.
