Macelleria, an Italian Steakhouse, to Open in Byram

A new restaurant is posed to open in Byram in the building most recently occupied by Char at 2 South Water Street.

Macelleria Italian Steakhouse promises to bring an authentic Italian experience to Greenwich. According to their website, “Macelleriea Greenwich offers an assortment of Italian cuisine and delicious pastas, seafood and steaks, alongside an expertly curated wine list. Everything is made by hand from the best ingredients.”

The restaurant has applied for a liquor permit from Hartford.

Owned by restaurateur Anthony Lala, with Chef Joe Fusco, there are already two Macelleria restaurants in Westchester – one in Armonk and one in Pelham.

The website boasts a colorful array of handcrafted cocktails and Tomahawk Ribeye USDA Prime Dry Aged 28 Days Tomahawak Ribeye.

According to the Michelin Guide, the steakhouse offers “perfectly rendered steaks at reasonable prices, scallops seared to fork-rendered perfection and simple yet utterly wholesome pastas “so carefully prepared you’ll be dreaming of them for weeks.”
