The Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut Endorses Congressman Jim Himes

The Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut announced its endorsement of Jim Himes for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. The Uniformed Firefighters Association works to ensure legislators meet the best interests of firefighters.

“The Firefighters Association of Connecticut heartily endorses Jim Himes’ candidacy for re-election to the 4th Congressional District. We look forward to his successful campaign,” said Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut’s President, Peter S. Carozza, Jr. “

“I am humbled and grateful to receive the support of the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut,” said Congressman Jim Himes. “Their mission to ensure our brave firefighters are given the support and resources they need during and after their tenures as frontline heroes is one I wholeheartedly believe in and will continue to fight for in Congress.”

Representative Jim Himes currently serves Connecticut’s Fourth Congressional District and most recently voted for the HEROES Act, which allocated $1.3 billion in funding for FEMA to purchase personal protective equipment for firefighters around the country. This funding will ensure firefighters have the resources o keep our communities safe during the pandemic.
