If it wasn’t clear already, the Greenwich LWV debate between the candidates for the 36th Senate district provided the proof that Jill Oberlander is the State Senator we need in Hartford. To each issue posed by the moderators, she responded not only with an understanding of the issue, but clear, practical, effective proposals that would have an impact on Day One. Her opponent simplistically expounded on problems without offering solutions.
Combine the thoughtful, researched, implementable policy changes that Jill provided with the fact that she is well respected by her colleagues and there is really no choice. Jill has demonstrated her skills as a leader as she guided the finance board in a clear strategic direction and followed that up with the hard work and dedication it requires to get buy-in. I have watched both Jill and her opponent in action over many years and there is no comparison.
We need a Senator who will dig into the details, understand the pros and cons of policies on our district, identify practical solutions, and do the hard work to get consensus. Vote for Jill Oberlander for State Senator.
