LETTER: Camillo Deserves Another Term

Submitted by Nancy Wolf

Dear Editor,

I am writing in support of Fred Camillo’s re-election as Greenwich’s First Selectman.

I moved to Greenwich 35 years ago and have never regretted that decision. I have raised my children here, ran a business here, and have been active on many boards and with many committees. I can not think of a time when I did not know Fred Camillo and like and trust Fred Camillo.

Many of us, thousands of us, have watched Fred Camillo at work for Greenwich and its residents during his lifetime of service to others. Sometimes those residents were too young to know his name, and others sometimes too busy to take real notice of this talented, kind, patient and giving neighbor. We have all been the beneficiaries of Fred’s efforts and devotion to our town and when I say THANK YOU to Fred, I know speak for many.

Over the years my husband, Jacob Rosengarten, and I have had the opportunity to live other places, spend lots of time in other towns and cities. And we always come back to Greenwich. In fact we have never left. I have seen Greenwich through the eyes of a very young mom, a hard working career woman, a mother of high school age children and now as a grandmother. Fred has always performed for Greenwich. His contributions as First Selectman and as our Representative in Hartford and on the ball fields and in every corner of our town are numerous and obvious.

Greenwich, under Fred Camillo’s watch, has never looked better. It is a pleasure and and honor to call Greenwich home. Our town is one of the safest in the country, enjoys a vibrant mix of businesses, people and amenities including our town parks and recreation and cultural resources. This is a thank you to all Greenwich residents who have made Greenwich a terrific place to live.

Please re-elect Fred Camillo for First Selectman in November. He has earned it, done great things with the position and I know the best is yet to come!

Yours
Nancy C. Wolf
