HIGBIE: Is Rachel Khanna One of Us?

I happened to watch the last debate between our candidates and couldn’t help but notice Rachel Khanna’s attacks Kim Fiorello. This has been a pattern with all the Democrats in this race, but Rachel really ratcheted up the ridiculousness this time. In the absence of any real policy beyond abortion up till birth and calling people racists, Democrats have nothing. But that doesn’t stop them from lying about it. Read for yourself… In one of Rachel’s recent op-eds titled “Connecticut’s Economy has momentum – Let’s keep moving Forward” she claimed:

“Our jobless rate has fallen sharply, and six months of economic growth has exceeded the national average.”

Really? That’s interesting because CT’s real GDP had one of the country’s LARGEST DECLINES nationally… in other words, CT had one of the worst GDP’s in the country… NEGATIVE 4.7%. But perhaps Khanna got “backward and forward” confused. Further note that CT has been one of the slower states to recover from COVID. On the other hand, our unemployment rate is in fact relatively low, so is our labor participation rate… meaning less people are working than before the pandemic… this is a HUGE problem considering CT’s very high ratio of public to private sector workers, remember Democrats, the private sector funds the government and its workers, there’s no money tree. Further compounding the problem, a recent study by the Yankee institute, noted that CT government employees earn 28% MORE in combined salary and benefits than their private sector counterparts. Brought to you by Democrats and their union supporting lackies… ohh, and all those folks are entitled to pensions that most private sector counterparts do not enjoy. You would think that someone married to a big shot finance guy would understand how ridiculous her claim is.

While we are on the issue of ridiculousness. Let’s dive into Rachel’s “Climate Resiliency” tab on her website where she says:

“We must also address the causes of climate change by reducing emissions and improving public transportation.”

Bold statement from someone who lives in an 8000 square foot GATED home… I also would be willing to wager that Rachel is not exactly taking the bus around town. In fact, according to tax records, the Khanna Family enjoys quite the carbon footprint with a day-to-day Mercedes nearing 400 horsepower. Also parked in the same driveway as other previously or currently owned Supercars like the Audi R8 boasting a 600 horsepower V-10 engine. Or the nearly 500 horsepower Porsche 911 GT3, and the BMW rocket ship M3. But just to get around town… a cool 20 min drive once you exit the castle walls and gates, they have whipped a Porsche SUV, and also the largest Audi available, the Q7 prestige. Topped off with the recreational safari ready 1986 Land Rover Defender that I’m sure just sips fuel and emits rainbows. If this is how you fight climate change Rachel, SIGN ME UP!!!

They do have one of those nice $80,000+ electric Audi’s that the battery production alone rivals the carbon footprint of most 18-wheeler emission’s. Of course, we can’t forget the Subaru.

Lastly the humanitarian in Rachel Khanna wants more affordable housing. She is very clear she does not agree with 8-30g but says…

“The best way to meet our local housing needs is to build more affordable housing — but on our terms.”

How many 30-unit low-income apartment complex are being proposed on her street? Zero, because “our terms” means near someone else, right?

What the most staggering thing to me above than anything, despite her personal wealth, Rachel Khanna Took CEP funding for her campaign! That means she took state funding for her campaign. Kim Fiorello however raised her own money and even partially self-funded her campaign. Love to see how that fits under Rachel’s “Fiscal Responsibility & Lower Taxes” tab on the same website. That entire section could just be summed up by the Pregnant man emoji as far as I’m concerned.

This is the BS that democrats pull all the time… That is why I vote republican.
