To the editor:
I am writing to express my support for Steve Meskers as he seeks re-election as our state representative. In my experience, he embodies what a state representative should be; accessible, attentive, practical and genuinely committed to serving the people in his district.
Recently, my neighbors and I had a question about a state regulation affecting our street. I happened to see Steve at a local event and explained the issue to him. The very next morning he arrived at our house to see the situation first hand and better understand if and how he might be able to help.
Steve listened carefully to our concerns, explained the relevant issues clearly, and outlined steps we could take next. He discussed possible solutions without making promises about what he could or could not accomplish.
Instead he gave us an honest assessment, promised to monitor the situation, and made clear that he would remain available whenever we needed help.
That kind of responsive, hands-on representation matters.
Steve Meskers takes the time to listen, learn the facts, and help constituents navigate complicated state issues. I hope our community will continue to benefit from his thoughtful and dedicated service by re-electing him.
