Greenwich Schools Chief Rebuts RTC Chair: “This Level of Reduction Would Have Long-Lasting Consequences”

Submitted by Dr. Toni Jones, Greenwich Public Schools Superintendent

We want to make it clear that despite a letter posted on the Greenwich Free Press this evening from the Chair of the RTC (Hahn: A Reasonable Compromise on the School Budget April 2, 2025), senior administration of Greenwich Public Schools has not identified $4,000,000+ in savings that would have no impact on our classroom programs, staffing, or student services.

In fact, it is the opposite.

We remain concerned that this level of reduction to the FY26 budget would have long-lasting consequences.
