State of Emergency and Snow Emergency Lifted in Greenwich; Town Hall to Reopen Wednesday

The State of Emergency that First Selectman Fred Camillo declared on Monday, February 1, expired at Tuesday at 6:00pm.

The Board of Selectmen approved the lifting of the snow emergency effective at 3:00pm on Tuesday, February 2. 

First Selectman Camillo praised the round-the-clock efforts of the Department of Public Works, the Parks & Recreation Department and hired contractors to clear the Town’s 265 miles of roads of snow. Snow depths ranged from 12 to 18 inches around Town. Mr. Camillo also thanked the efforts of the Fleet Department for making necessary equipment repairs during the two-day storm event. 

After consultation with the Emergency Closing Group, Mr. Camillo also announced that Town Hall offices will reopen at 8:00am Wednesday, February 3. Town Hall is open to the public from 8:00am to 1:00pm with afternoon access by appointment only. 

The Holly Hill Resource Recovery Center also has reopened for regular business hours. 

COVID Vaccine Clinic/Testing update 

Family Centers Health Care drive-thru testing at 60 Palmers Hill Road will be open for regular hours on Wednesday, February 3. 

Family Centers Health Care COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center has reopened for scheduled appointments. 

The Greenwich Hospital clinic at the King Street campus of Brunswick School is open by appointment only from 8:00am to 8:00pm Wednesday through Sunday, February 3 through 7. 

The Town Hall clinic will resume Wednesday, February 3 and Thursday, February 4, by appointment only.
