Greenwich Hospital Garners Two National Awards for ‘Patient Experience’

Greenwich Hospital was in the national spotlight this week as the recipient of two coveted awards for being a top performing organization that consistently excels in patient experience.

Greenwich Hospital received the Pinnacle of Excellence Award in Patient Experience from Press Ganey for maintaining consistently high levels of excellence over multiple years in Outpatient Services. Greenwich Hospital’s Outpatient Department consists of 38 individual departments.

In addition, Greenwich Hospital received the 2019 Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Experience in the Emergency Department for consistently performing in the top 5 percent of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.

The awards were presented on Nov 18 by Press Ganey, the nation’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.

The Pinnacle of Excellence Award and Guardian of Excellence Award are two nationally recognized symbols of achievement in health care.

“Providing our patients and visitors with the best possible experience is a top priority for all of our employees, whether they work at the bedside or behind the scenes,” said Norman G. Roth, president and chief executive officer of Greenwich Hospital. “Maintaining this level of excellence reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver outstanding care every day.”

Debi D’Alba, director of Patient Experience, noted that Greenwich Hospital has a long tradition of service excellence.

“This award is a testament to the diligence and dedication of employees, physicians and volunteers from all corners of our organization,” D’Alba said.
