Women Get the Vote! LWVG Reception at the Greenwich Historical Society on March 10, 2020

The League of Women Voters Greenwich invites its members and the public to a special event at the Greenwich Historical Society: Women Get the Vote! a reception on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Greenwich Historical Society Barn, 47 Strickland Road in Cos Cob.

The fight for women’s right to vote was a journey supported by many Connecticut women who fought on the local, state, and national levels.

Their inspiring stories remind us of the power of our vote and our voice today. Guests will be treated to a tour of “An Unfinished Revolution: The Women’s Suffrage Centennial“.

The League of Women Voters of Greenwich will present awards to the winners of its student essay contest, “What if Women Could Not Vote?” and Pam Dougherty from the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame will present “Votes for Women,” from the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame’s Talks on the Road lecture series.

Greenwich Historical Society members and LWVG members: Free; Non-members: $20. Reservations are required: please RSVP to [email protected]
