Temple Sholom’s 2016 Party Planning Showcase to Feature 40 Vendors

Screen Shot 2016-01-05 at 6.37.59 PMThis Sunday, Jan. 10, Temple Sholom is hosting a party planning showcase  in Greenwich from 11:00am til 1:00pm. Free and open to the public, the event features 40 local vendors who specialize in photography, entertainment, catering, decor and floral arrangements and much more.

“Our showcase provides a solid foundation for people who are just beginning to plan a celebration, as well as a great ending point for those who are looking to check a few remaining items off their to-do list,” said Lori Baden, Temple Sholom’s Associate Executive Director. “We’ll have a wide variety of vendors specializing in entertainment, photography, venues/accommodations, catering, desserts, stationary, flowers, décor, party favors and much more.”

Throughout the showcase, guests are encouraged to browse the exhibitor booths, gather information and business cards, and make personal connections to begin piecing together the perfect occasion.

Many vendors offer discounts to those who make a purchase at the event. While many people who attend are planning Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, the vendors who attend also work on other celebrations such as weddings, graduation parties, confirmations and more.

Mitzvah Fair Organizations New this year – Most bar/bat mitzvah students are required to pick a Mitzvah (good deed) project as part of their preparations. Knowing that it can be challenging for bar/bat mitzvah students to choose a community service project, Temple Sholom has added a “Mitzvah Project Fair” component to its showcase. Representatives from different organizations will be on hand to discuss tikkun olam (social action) opportunities both locally and abroad.
