Riverside Garden Club’s April meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 9:30 am at the Greenwich Botanical Center, 130 Bible Street, Cos Cob.
The speaker this month will be Beverly Smith, gardener extraordinaire, who will get everyone ready for spring by speaking about “Seven Ways to Garden.”
Bev has been featured in Fine Gardening Magazine in addition to the Sunday Greenwich Time in June of 2020 for her fabulous shade garden.
Bev’s discussion will include information regarding garden tools and how to use them; the how’s and when’s of pruning; identifying soil types; selecting plants for sun, part shade and shade; tips for new plantings; and how to transplant existing growth. Bev has been designing gardens for many years and will have many valuable tips and tricks to make us all better gardeners.
