Junior League of Greenwich Announces Inaugural Women’s Conference

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) is holding its inaugural Women’s Conference on March 29, 2025, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Townhouse in Greenwich.

This special event is all about women taking a well-deserved moment for themselves—focusing on self-development, connection, and inspiration.

“Our mission at the Junior League of Greenwich is to train and empower women,” says JLG President Stacey Higdon. “Hosting our first-ever Women’s Conference felt like a natural extension of that mission. We’ve carefully selected topics that will resonate with all women, no matter where they are in life. Whether you’re looking for advice, motivation, or just a day to recharge, we’ve got something for you.”

The keynote speaker is none other than Lisa Whelchel—yes, Blair Warner from The Facts of Life! But she’s more than just a familiar face—Lisa is also a life coach, bestselling author, and motivational speaker. She’ll be sharing wisdom from her book Friendship for Grown-Ups, offering real, practical advice on how to build and maintain meaningful friendships as an adult.

“One of the biggest reasons women join the Junior League is to make new friends,” Higdon said in a release. “We know how important—and sometimes challenging—it can be to form new, deep friendship connections as adults. Lisa’s personal journey will be something so many of us can relate to.”

Attendees will also hear from an incredible Women’s Health Panel: Hormones, Metabolism & Skin: Look and Feel Your Best at Every Age. This moderated conversation will answer questions submitted in advance, featuring:

  • Dr. Alicia Robbins, OB/GYN & Menopause Practitioner
  • Dr. Whitney Bowe, Dermatologist & Founder of the “Skin Cycling” Method
  • Catherine Staffieri, Nutritionist & Metabolic Specialist

Then, attendees will choose two out of three dynamic breakout sessions:

  • Turning Setbacks into Comebacks: Cristina Teuscher, Olympic Gold Medalist & Owner of Sweet Blue Swim, shares her strategies for pushing through setbacks and challenges.
  • Raising a Balanced Child in a High-Pressure Community: Dr. Kate Patterson, Clinical Psychologist, offers expert advice on helping kids navigate a world of year-round sports, packed schedules, and academic expectations.
  • Managing Finances Through Life’s Changes: Sylvia Guinan, Senior Financial Advisor & Author, provides key insights for handling major financial transitions—whether it’s a career shift, divorce, loss of a partner, or caring for aging parents.

The day kicks off with coffee and juice from our sponsor, Barvida, plus a little shopping with select vendors like Kendra Scott. Lisa Whelchel will deliver her keynote during a sit-down lunch, setting the tone for a truly inspiring day.
