Screen Shot 2014-10-20 at 9.16.43 AMMark you calendars for the Woman’s Club of Greenwich annual holiday boutique:

Friday, Nov. 14, 10:00am – 5:00-pm

Sat., Nov 15, 10:00am – 4:00pm

The club, located at 89 Maple Ave in a spacious Victorian mansion, has ample parking and brims with room after room of unique gifts. There are also visits from Santa, raffle prizes and “Grandma’s Kitchen.”

For years the annual two-day shopping event has become a destination for people seeking handmade and one-of-a-kind gifts. All proceeds from the two day event benefit the Club’s philanthropies and scholarship fund.

This year Greenwich Free Press is spotlighting individual vendors over the weeks leading up to the event.

Bazaar à GoGo is one of the first mobile retail experiences in the Greenwich area. The Bazaar à GoGo truck, featured in September on Greenwich Free Press, features women’s clothing and accessories in a shop on wheels.

The mobile store was the vision of Marion Siegel, who sources unique finds from far-flung locales to sell locally from a repurposed surveillance truck.

“We pride ourselves on being off the beaten path. Presenting our merchandise from the back of a converted Stepvan only makes Bazaar à GoGo more unique,” Siegel said.

According to Siegel, Bazaar à GoGo was inspired by a trip to Morocco several years ago. “We carry items that are made using age old techniques and modern materials.  The workmanship is evident in the details,” she said.

Bazaar à GoGo sells handmade leather goods from Marrakesh, jewelry by indie designers, home textiles and decorative accessories.

“We are excited to get Marion out of her mobile showroom and into the Woman’s Club of Greenwich holiday boutique,” said Susan Franco, who is organizing a mix of vendors for the much anticipated two-day shopping bonanza at the Woman’s Club.
