Temple Sholom held its Purim Carnival on Sunday and the temple was teeming with costumed kids. And parents! And staff!
Rabbi Mitch was a wizard. Rabbi Gisel was Glinda the good witch. Director of Schools David Cohen was Boq. Lori Baden, executive director of the synagogue was a wicked witch. Ritual director, Ezra Konigsberg was dressed as a munchkin.
The event was wicked fun with a wide variety of games, bouncy castle, prizes, face painting, and much more, including cotton candy in a variety of flavors and colors.
Purim is a celebration commemorating the salvation of the Jewish people from Haman’s diabolical plot in the ancient Persian Empire.
