Second Congregational Church Announces Holy Week Services

Second Congregational Church at 139 East Putnam Ave in Greenwich welcomes all to attend worship services through Holy Week, starting on Palm Sunday, March 29 at 10:30am with a Palm Processional in the Sanctuary.

Maundy Thursday, April 2, they will have a meditative worship service with Holy Communion at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary.

On Friday, April 3, they will partner with the YMCA for a half-day Vacation Bible School from 9:00am-11:30am with pool time for children ages 5-12. Cost is $30 and registration is required, and information is on the website: 2cc.org

At 7:00pm, they will hold a Good Friday service in partnership with First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, North Greenwich Congregational Church, and Round Hill Community Church.

Easter Sunday Services will be held on April 5 at 6:30am on the church lawn, and 10:30 am in the main sanctuary. An Easter Egg Hunt will immediately follow the 10:30am service.

“Easter is a time for pondering life’s deepest questions. For Christians, it is a time to celebrate our faith’s most hopeful answers,” said Senior Minister Maxwell Grant.

Families of all types and people of all ages are welcome.

The church nursery will be open as wiggle room for parents to come with their children as needed.
