First Congregational Church in OG: Cross Walk, Good Friday and Busy Easter Weekend

ImageHoly Week at First Congregational Church of Greenwich in Old Greenwich is a busy one. On Good Friday (April 18) the 8:00 pm service will feature the First Church Chancel Choir, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré.

On Friday the annual youth cross walk takes place at 12:00 noon.  Teenagers will carry the heavy wood cross all the way to Tod’s Point. The “cross walk” symbolizes Christ’s walk through the streets of Jerusalem toward his crucifixion. The cross will be used on Sunday at the 6:00am sunrise service at the beach.
