Byram Shubert Library Honors Brave Men and Women with “Share Your Story” Display

“We thank them for their service.”  The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library are honoring the brave women and men of our community with an exhibit of photographs and memorabila at the library, which is located at 41 Mead Avenue.

There are photographs and excerpts from “Share Your Story,” the decade-long project of the Friends. There are memoirs of our 19 friends and neighbors who were members of the U.S. armed forces.  The volumes in which they appear are part of the library’s permanent collection.

Also on display, curated by Patricia Kantorski, are photographs, dating as far back as World War One, of veterans’ activities.

The Historical Display Case was arranged by Byram native, Heidi Hupal, and contains a variety of items treasured by her family.

The exhibit will remain on display through the month of February.  For more information you may call the library at 203.531.0426.
