Greenwich Tree Conservancy Seeks Nominations for their Treasured Tree Program

The Greenwich Tree Conservancy wants to to celebrate your treasured tree with you.

Now in its seventh year, the Greenwich Tree Conservancy’s Treasured Trees program honors remarkable trees on private property, trees that inspire admiration for their beauty, uniqueness, or the memories they hold.

What makes a tree treasured? It could be its impressive age or size, a striking shape, a beautiful bloom in spring or vibrant color in fall. Or perhaps it’s tied to a meaningful story or moment in your life.

Nominated trees will be evaluated by the Town of Greenwich Tree Warden and a professional arborist.

If selected, your tree will receive a custom nameplate mounted on its trunk, courtesy of the Greenwich Tree Conservancy. Honorees will be also celebrated at a reception at Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses on October 23, 2025, where you’ll receive a framed photo of your tree and its nameplate.

Your tree will also be permanently recorded in the Conservancy’s official Treasured Trees roster.

To nominate your treasured tree, visit www.greenwichtreeconservancy.org for details, FAQs, and the submission form.

The deadline is August 1.

“We can’t wait to see your nominations,” said Kate Dzikiewicz, director of the Greenwich Tree Conservancy.
