The National Weather Service announced a coastal flood warning from Wednesday at 4:00pm until Thursday at 10:00am.
This is in addition to a high wind warning on Wednesday from 11:00am until Thursday, April 4, at 6:00am.
The rain is forecast to taper off on Friday and Saturday will be partly cloudy with high around 50°.
On Wednesday the Director of Parks & Recreation announced a delayed opening at Greenwich Point Park due to the potential flooding conditions at high tide which will be at 8:00am on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
The tide is currently projected to be about 4 feet above normal.
Greenwich Point Park, (Tod’s Point) will be closed until after the high tide mark is set and roads are clear and passable.
The town will notify the public when the park reopens.
