A GoFundMe fundraiser is being organized on behalf of Dan Puffer and his family by his sister-in-law Heather Benvenuto.

Puffer’s sister-in-law said the family received news of his diagnosis with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in early January, and according to the GoFundMe they are still in a state of shock and disbelief.

“Danny is a devoted husband, father and friend. He is only 55 years old and he and his family (Wife, Colleen, son, Steven and his wife Sarah, son, Bryan and his wife Savanna, son Craig and Tine Elisabeth, plus Danny’s four grandsons, Brendan, Eric, Brooks, and Cameron) are in for the fight against pancreatic cancer,” Benvenuto wrote on the fundraising page, adding that her brother-in-law is scheduled for extensive chemotherapy treatments for the next two months.

“I hope you can find it in your heart to support Danny and his family during the many obstacles and unknowns that lie in front of them,” she wrote on the fundraiser page.
