Tucked away at 199 Hamilton Avenue, the Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop has been a beloved community fixture since 1921. Beyond offering an eclectic mix of items – from vintage furniture and designer apparel to unique home décor – the shop serves a greater purpose: supporting patient care at Greenwich Hospital.

In a landmark achievement, the thrift shop reported over a million dollars in sales during the 2023 fiscal year, a first in its 102-year history. These proceeds enabled the Auxiliary to donate funds for hospital equipment, complete a commitment to the midwife program and institute a five-year pledge to behavioral health services.
The shop’s success is driven by its staff and dedicated team of volunteers. Their commitment ensures a constantly refreshed inventory, making each visit a new adventure.
Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, the thrift shop welcomes both shoppers and donors.
Donations are accepted Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 2:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, and each contribution plays a vital role in supporting the hospital’s mission.
Whether you’re hunting for a unique treasure or looking to give back to the community, the Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop offers a rewarding experience that benefits both shoppers and patients alike.
