Cardinal Baseball Camp
Greenwich High School
10 Hillside Rd
Email: [email protected]
Tel (203) 869-3736

Cardinal Baseball Camp will be in session at Greenwich High School for its 17th consecutive summer. Greenwich High School Head Baseball Coach Mike Mora and his staff provide a fun learning environment, while stressing the fundamentals of baseball.

Skills and drills begin at 9:00am and a game is played daily from 10:45-12:00noon when campers are to be picked up.

Camp dates are July 8th-August 2nd , Monday-Friday. Pricing and more information can be found at www.cardinalbaseballcamp.com or by calling 203-869-3736.

On a daily basis, campers receive instruction in how to throw with the proper form. Proper catching tips are given at this time as well. Coach Mora believes that “Throwing and catching are the most important parts of the game at any level of baseball. If players can throw the ball where they want to, without hurting themselves, they have given themselves the chance to be very successful.”

During the skills stations, campers are taught the finer points of the game. The campers rotate through stations such as: pitching, base-running, catching, infield, outfield, hitting, and bunting. Some days this time is spent on infield/outfield practice when the campers learn where to throw the ball during certain key game situations.

The staff makes groups for their games according to ability.

Camper’s safety comes first! Coaches pitch to the campers for safety reasons. Many campers are in the middle of their summer season and we do not want them wearing out their arm at camp.

Staff to camper ratio varies by age group but averages 1 staff per every 5 campers to ensure a safe, fun, and instructional learning environment. Our goal is to have campers learn to love the game of baseball.
