The one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination is coming up on September 10.
That evening there will be a vigil hosted by TPUSA of Greenwich CT honoring Mr. Kirk at Greenwich Town Hall at 7:00pm.
Jennifer Spaziante’s daughter, who is also with Club America, Turning Point USA, is organizing the event, and with the help of Fred Camillo it was approved.
Turning Point USA is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 by Mr. Kirk.
Club America is a high school student program created by Turning Point USA to promote conservative and traditional American values.
Attendees are asked to bring a battery operated candle and a friend to honor Mr. Kirk.
The fatal shooting of Kirk took place at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025.
A 23-year-old was charged with aggravated murder, a capital offense in Utah, and six other counts. Robinson was ordered to stand trial for a charge of aggravated murder. He faces a possible death penalty.
The TPUSA website says Kirk created Turning Point USA to empower generations of patriots to stand for freedom, defend liberty, and win the American culture war.
Club America’s mission is “to educate students on the importance of freedom, free markets, and limited government—while building a strong network of trailblazers ready to lead in their schools and communities.”
“A vigil does not cost anything to show up,” Spaziante said in an email. “It’s for anyone in the town who would like to come and speak and remember.”
According to the Club America website, there are 1,200+ high school chapters and counting. The Club America website map shows there are clubs at Brunswick School and Darien High School, in addition to a Greenwich Activism Hubs in back country Greenwich and north Stamford.
