March 24, Palm Sunday
8:00 am | Holy Eucharist, Chapel
9:00 am | Family Eucharist “Messy Church,” Parish Hall
9:30 am | Palm Procession, Gather outside the Parish Hall for the Blessing of the Palms and procession into church with bagpipers and a pony.
10:00 am | Holy Eucharist, in-person or livestream.
5:00 pm | Choral Meditation: Olivet to Calvary by John Henry Maunder. Sung by the Christ Church Singers, Directed by Dr Philip Moore. This poignant work explores the journey from Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the profound moments of the Crucifixion. Join us for a moving and contemplative beginning to Holy Week. March 28, Maundy Thursday, 7:30 pm
7:30 pm | Ceremony of Foot Washing and Holy Eucharist. We remember Jesus’ Last Supper and His preparation for Good Friday. Sung by the St Cecilia Choir of Girls, including music by Langlais, Duruflé, and Jamie Hitel. In-person or livestream.
March 29, Good Friday, 12:00 noon – 3:00pm
Three Hour Service 12:00-3:00 pm (come and go as you please) We are one of the only churches in Lower Fairfield County to offer a 3-hour service
– 12:00 pm | Lamentations of Jeremiah by Thomas Tallis. Sung by the Choir of Men and Teen Boys.
12:45 pm | Liturgy of the Day. Sung by the Christ Church Singers.
– 2:15 pm | Stabat Mater – Pergolesi. Sung by the St Cecilia Choir of Girls.
– 4:00 – 5:00 pm | Children’s “Way of the Cross” service. A prayerful walk through the Main Sanctuary explaining the three Holy Days leading up to Easter. Parents and children of all ages are invited
March 30, Holy Saturday, 7:30 pm
– 7:30 pm | Great Vigil and First Eucharist of Easter, we begin outside with the lighting of the Paschal Flame and continue in the Main Sanctuary with the Celebration of Easter, sung by the Christ Church Singers. In-person or livestream
March 31, Easter Sunday
Complimentary child care is available 8:30 am – 12:30 pm for young children ages 6 mos – 3 yrs in the Family Room
– 8:00 am | Holy Eucharist, in the Chapel
– 9:00 am | Festival Holy Eucharist & Family Service. Sung by the Choir of Men & Boys with the St Cecilia Choir of Girls. Children can go to Children’s Chapel during the sermon and return after the Peace to sing “The Angel Rolled the Stone Away.”
– 10:00 am | Easter Egg Hunt outside with the Easter Bunny, bring your own basket and fill it up. Take photos in front of our beautiful, fresh floral Easter Cross.
– 11:00 am | Festival Holy Eucharist. The Christ Church Choir of Men and Boys and Senior Girls sing with Easter brass and timpani celebrating one of their most important festivals of the church year. In-person or livestream.
