Children’s Book Author, Children’s Book Author to Talk & Sign Books at Woman’s Club of Greenwich

The Woman’s Club of Greenwich is pleased to invite the public to attend a talk and book signing at The Woman’s Club of Greenwich on September 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm

Tish Rabe is a best-selling author who has written over 160 books for children for Sesame Street, Disney, Blue’s Clue’s, Clifford, Curious George and Huff and Puff among others. In 1996 she was selected by Dr. Seuss Enterprises to create The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, a series of science books for early readers. A television series based on these books The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That premiered on PBS Kids in 2010. Ms. Rabe is a passionate advocate for early childhood literacy and in 2014 formed her own publishing company, Tish Rabe Books LLC to create books that help caregivers read to their children. Her first title “Love You, Hug You, Read to You” was published in June with a version in Spanish currently in production. She sits on the board of Reach Out and Read CT, an advocacy group that for the last 25 years has given low-income children free books at their “well-child” visits in their pediatricians’ offices. Trained as a professional singer, she is the narrator/singing voice for Bambi and Disney Princess book and audio recordings. She is a proud mom and a step-mom and her family lived in Greenwich for 20 years. Both her children graduated from Greenwich High School and she recently became a grandmother.
