The Gertrude G. White Gallery is pleased to present “Postcards I Never Sent,” a solo exhibition by award-winning artist Roger Hsia aka “roget8000.”

Hsia grew up in Scarsdale, NY and as a young person took classes at the Parsons School of Design as well as the University of Michigan, among others. After a twenty five year “hiatus” (and successful career as a lawyer and legal search consultant), Hsia reengaged his art practice in 2019. In the short span of these few years, Hsia has exhibited in group shows in NYC and Greenwich, and has developed an avid and rapidly growing group of collectors and fans. Hsia has also won the prestigious “Best In Show” Award at ArtExpo NYC 2022, the largest international art fair in the world in his first full year of studio practice. “Postcards I Never Sent” is a meditation by Hsia on both the toll of the last two years as well as the fruits borne out of that. In this period, his art studio has served as a bunker, playground, oasis, laboratory, rocket ship and time machine.

“Creating art has been a salvation for me, especially more recently and continues to be invaluable for keeping me in the present moment and reminding me tomorrow is not promised.

“Postcards I Never Sent” is a call to today, to breathe, to play, as well as to hug and tell those dear to you “I love you!” right now.”

“Postcards I Never Sent” will be on display from March 1 to March 30.
