The Music Remembers…A Special Musical Benefit to be Held for the September 11th Memorial in Greenwich

A special musical benefit, “The Music Remembers…” ounced in support of the September 11th Memorial in Greenwich. The benefit will feature Greenwich’s own Caroline Jones, The Ian Murray Band and include a special acoustic performance by DISPATCH.

The Music Remembers… will be held on Sunday, December 7 at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester.

“The Music Remembers…is going to be a great event in support of the memorial to honor the 32 victims with ties to Greenwich.  I am especially pleased that these fantastic musicians have agreed to perform and help us raise the funds necessary to build the memorial. Everyone involved is moved by their support,” said James Ritman, Co-Chair of the memorial’s board.

Space is limited.  General admission tickets are $250 per person. VIP tickets, which include a reception with the performers, are $500 per person. Tickets can be purchased at www.sept11memorialgreenwich.org

Sally Maloney Duval, who lost her brother in the Trade Center and is a member of the board of the Memorial said, “What began as a dream is now becoming a reality. Our entire community is coming together to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks.  Everyone’s support of The Music Remembers… from the musicians to the people at Garcia’s and The Capitol Theatre has been incredible.  We are incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful supporters.”

The September 11th Memorial/Greenwich is part of the Greenwich Community Projects fund, a 501 (c)(3). The memorial will honor the 32 people, with ties to Greenwich, who died on September 11th 20014.
