The Stamford All-School Musical, now it its 18th year, will perform “Annie” over two weekends – December 6-7 and 12-14 – at Rippowam Middle School, 381 High Ridge Road in Stamford.
Set in the 1930’s during the Great Depression, the story follows Annie, a spunky orphan who is determined to find her parents who left her years ago at a New York City orphanage, run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. When Annie is chosen to spend Christmas with the wealthy, grumpy businessman Oliver Warbucks, she begins to change his life—and the lives of everyone around her—showing them the true meaning of family, hope, and love.
The production features a 14-piece professional orchestra, creating an authentic Broadway-caliber musical experience for audiences.
The cast and crew represents the very best of Stamford’s young talent and features over 80 students in grades 5-12 from 17 area schools. All students either live in Stamford or attend school within the city, showcasing the depth of creativity, dedication, and artistic excellence in the community.
