On November 24th, first grade teachers at North Mianus Elementary School in Riverside, organized a Colonial Day where students created hornbooks, wrote with quill pens, learned to weave, met a real cobbler, prepared cornbread, learned colonial games, danced the minuet and rolled candles.
The students enjoyed the experience enormously and will have a lasting impression of what it was truly like to be a kid in colonial times!
