Musicians from Marlboro is the touring extension of the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont. The group is known for supporting artists at the beginning of their careers and for offering a range of unusual as well as beloved symphonic music. It is noted for its excellence of technique and interpretation, and Time has called its repertoire “the most exciting chamber music in the United States.”

Marlboro Musicians was founded in 1951 by pianist Rudolf Serkin, brothers Adolf and Hermann Busch, and siblings Marcel, Blanche, and Louis Moyse. Each summer, some 85 instrumentalists and singers – both masters and rising stars – take up residency in Marlboro, Vermont to rehearse, practice their craft, and perform five weekend chamber music festivals. The off-season Musicians from Marlboro national touring program can be heard on radio broadcasts, recordings, and streaming on marlboromusic.org.

The performance will run for 90 minutes; it will not be recorded or streamed. Registration through the Library’s online calendar is required. The third and final Musicians from Marlboro concert for the season will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
