Foundation House’s 76 acres are usually closed to the public. On Saturday, July 18, from 10:00am-2:00pm, they are opening the gates for one morning so families and artists can come together in community, connect with nature, and let the inspiring surroundings spark some creativity.
Think of it like sketching at a museum, except the galleries are century-old gardens and open meadows. Bring a blanket, your sketchbook, and any materials you like to use. There will be a kiddie corner, nature bingo, and light snacks and refreshments.
It’s a simple morning, but it’s also a chance to experience the quiet power of nature up close—and to help preserve it by leaving it just as beautiful as you found it.
No registration needed. Foundation House is located at 124 Old Mill Road, Greenwich, CT.
