Main Stage Bands
Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds The two musicians met more than 35 years ago in Charlottesville, VA and have been collaborating ever since. Their rare performances as an acoustic duo allow fans to experience their special chemistry up-close, as they strip down each song to its essence and tell stories. Matthews and Reynolds have released three live double-albums: 1999’s multi-Platinum Live At Luther College, Live At Radio City (2007) and Live In Las Vegas (2010).
Matthews is best known as the vocalist/guitarist for Dave Matthews Band, which has sold a collective 38 million units (CD and DVD combined) since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming. The band
went on to become the first group in history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Reynolds founded the breakthrough electric power trio TR3 (Tim Reynolds Trio) and has also released a series of solo albums. He has performed on nearly all of Dave Matthews Band’s albums and has been touring with them full-time since 2008.
John Fogerty As the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty helped shape the sound of American music, blending blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, and swamp boogie into a genre-defying style that continues to resonate with fans around the world decades after its inception. One of the greatest songwriters of all time, he has received multiple awards and honors for his undeniable impact on music culture including induction in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the BMI Icon Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a special honor for his song “Centerfield” making him the only musician ever honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame.
John Fogerty’s songwriting canon spans nearly six decades and includes foundational classics such as “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” Both “Fortunate Son” and “Bad Moon Rising” have both surpassed 1 billion streams, while “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” continues to go viral on TikTok and has garnered over 2 billion streams.
Fogerty has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and CCR’s album Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits recently logged over 14 years on the Billboard 200, only the fifth album ever to reach that chart milestone. In January 2023, Fogerty regained control over his works, acquiring majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord.
Today, Fogerty remains as fierce as ever. He is currently on tour promoting his new album, Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival years released on August 22nd, 2025. The album is a labor of love celebrating John’s renewed love affair with the music of CCR and it’s extra special as it features his sons, Shane + Tyler Fogerty. Legacy is not just a celebration of one of the greatest catalogs in rock & roll—it’s the sound of an American original claiming his place, once more, at center stage.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band At a moment when musical streams are crossing with unprecedented frequency, it’s crucial to remember that throughout its history, New Orleans has been the point at which sounds and cultures from around the world converge, mingle, and resurface, transformed by the Crescent City’s inimitable spirit and joie de vivre. Nowhere is that idea more vividly embodied than in the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, which has held the torch of New Orleans music
aloft for more than 60 years, all the while carrying it enthusiastically forward as a reminder that the history they were founded to preserve is a vibrantly living history.
PHJB marches that tradition forward once again on So It Is. The album redefines what New Orleans music means today by tapping into a sonic continuum that stretches back to the city’s Afro-Cuban roots, through its common ancestry with the Afrobeat of Fela Kuti and the Fire Music of Pharoah Sanders and John Coltrane, and forward to cutting-edge artists with whom the PHJB have shared festival stages from Coachella to Newport, including legends like Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello and the Grateful Dead and modern giants like Beck, The Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket, and the Black Keys.

Kids Talent Elmo’s Got the Moves is a brand-new Sesame Street live performance featuring Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and their Sesame Street friends. The show will have kids and parents alike out of their seats and dancing along with Elmo and his Sesame Street friends as they move and groove to fan-favorite songs, including “Sunny Days,” “Elmo’s Got the Moves,” and “Letter of the Day.” Families will discover fun and playful ways to move, from yoga and jumping rope to cartwheeling and silly dance moves, all in a welcoming environment that brings the magic of Sesame Street from the screen to the stage. More than just a show, Elmo’s Got the Moves is a shared moment of laughter and learning-an experience you and your child will treasure long after the final song.
Town Stage
A popular tradition of GTP is the Town Stage, which features local bands whose performances round out the day.
Bands with local roots and familiar names perform on the same ticket as world-renowned musicians every year.
Created to celebrate the diverse and abundant talent within the Greenwich community, the Town Stage band application is open to Greenwich residents of all ages, backgrounds, and genres.
The Greenwich Town Party, founded by Ray Dalio, is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, privately funded through generous contributions from individuals, businesses, philanthropic foundations, family offices, and, in
part, ticket sales. These contributions allow most attendees to enjoy significantly discounted or complimentary tickets, and this collective generosity not only funds the event but also provides ongoing support to local non-profits and community organizations throughout the year. The GTP has no cost to the Town of Greenwich and is not funded by taxpayers.
