Avon Theatre in Stamford, everyone’s favorite independent movie theater, shared has some exciting news about their 2021 auction fundraiser, now underway.

This week the Avon Theatre received a donation from the actor and comedian, Seth Rogen, who recently took up pottery during the pandemic.

Rogen has donated a beautiful 6” handmade ceramic vase to the virtual Avon Auction 2021 that kicked off on October 28. 

Bidding ends Monday, November 15 at noon. There are over 80 special auction items, including many great gifts for the holidays.

Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Fair market values have been assigned to determine the value of goods and services. All proceeds from our Avon Auction will support the Avon’s operations and programming.

Sail on SoundWaters, an 80-foot three-masted schooner, styled after a 19th century Chesapeake Bay sharpie schooner. The ship is steel-hulled, U.S. Coast Guard certified to carry up to 40 passengers. The decks are wide and comfortable and can accommodate wheelchairs. A quiet diesel engine motors the schooner until the sails are raised.

Seth Rogen is a beloved Canadian actor, comedian, writer, and filmmaker. Originally a stand-up comic in Vancouver, he moved to Los Angeles for a part in Judd Apatow’s series Freaks and Geeks. He has had a prolific career as a screenwriter and actor, incl. The Green Hornet. His voice work includes many hits – Shrek The Third, Kung Fu Panda series, Monsters vs Aliens, & The Lion King (2019).
