ART06870 Announces 2nd Annual Exhibition: Art Today – Futures Tomorrow

ART06870 gallery is proud to announce its second annual exhibition, Art Today – Futures Tomorrow, a community celebration of creativity and purpose. This year’s exhibition supports visual arts, theater, and music programming in partnership with the Greenwich Alliance for Education.

There is an opening reception on Saturday, October 25, 6:00–8:00pm.

Bringing together a diverse collective of artists, from international names to regional and local talents, Art Today – Futures Tomorrow, highlights the power of art not only to move us emotionally, but to reflect who we are as individuals and as a community.

Proceeds from the exhibition will directly support Arts Education for children in the area, expanding access to creative programming and nurturing the next generation of young artists. Last year, this exhibition funded more than 10 workshops for local children, led by professional studio artists at Boys & Girls Club, local schools, museums, and galleries to provide creative outlets for thousands of children.

This year, we are proud to announce our expansion efforts in collaboration with the Greenwich Alliance for Education to support not only visual arts, but also theater and music. In particular, this partnership will help create access to music ensembles by providing free private music lessons for under-resourced students in grades 4–12.

An online platform to view and bid on artwork will be available prior to the opening reception, allowing community members near and far to participate and contribute to this meaningful cause. Art Today – Futures Tomorrow Auction Link

This event is in collaboration with Greenwich Alliance for Education and proudly supported by the Developing Artist Program, made possible with generous grants from the Greenwich Alliance, Connecticut Dept of Economic and Community Development, the Connecticut Office of the Arts(COA) and supplemental support for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

The opening reception is at ART06870 Gallery, 260R Sound Beach Ave, Old Greenwich, CT 06870. (Behind Chase Bank — parking available on Sound Beach only)

ART06870 showcases exceptional artists creating unique, introspective work, and brings together artists, collectors, and benefactors through exhibitions, events, and collaborations to foster an expansive, vibrant community. The gallery’s mission is rooted in the belief that art is not just a commodity; it is a powerful tool for community-building, reflection, and transformation. At ART06870, we understand that art is much more than self-expression. It is a lifeline, especially for children facing challenges such as housing instability or social anxieties. Art builds confidence, fosters resilience, and can profoundly shift how young people perceive themselves and their place in the world. Join us in supporting the next generation of artists and community leaders. Together, we can use art to uplift and empower the children of our community.
