Next for the Wrecking Ball in Downtown Greenwich: 1909 Two-Family

A multi-family house built in 1909 at 16 Lexington Ave in downtown Greenwich is posted for demolition.

The owner is ASK LLC of 15 East Putnam Ave in Greenwich.

It was last sold in November 2009 from Ray Julia Larobina to Amita Kalra for $0 in July 2010.

The start of the mandatory 45 day waiting period for demolition began on Oct 6, 2026.

The end of the 45 day wait is Nov 19, 2026.

The first date the permit for demolition is eligible for issuance is Nov 20, 2026.

Because the home was built before 1940, a written letter of objection submitted to the Building Division of DPW will trigger an additional 45 day stay of demolition.

Further information concerning this pending application may be obtained by contacting the DPW-Division of Buildings 203-622-7754.

Among other nearby houses that on Lexington recently demolished and replaced was 48 Lexington. That house was a legally non-conforming three-family that dated back to 1920. It sold in 2023 for $1,800,000.
