Community members gathered Saturday afternoon at Family Centers Health Center on Holly Hill Lane for the annual Community Health Fair, an event designed to connect Greenwich-area residents with free health screenings, wellness resources, family activities and local organizations.

Among the participating community partners was Healing Touch Team (HTT), a Greenwich-based group offering biofield therapy as a complementary approach to health and well-being. During the two-hour event, Healing Touch Team practitioners provided brief biofield therapy sessions to 25 community members, introducing participants to an experience designed to promote health, relaxation, balance and a greater sense of well-being.
For many of Saturday’s participants, the Community Health Fair offered an opportunity to experience Healing Touch for the first time.
“We were delighted to be part of this wonderful community event,” said Kathleen Bacchi, RN, CHTP co-founder of the Healing Touch Tean, “Our goal was simply to give people an opportunity to pause, relax and experience the health benefits of a short biofield energy therapy session. We were thrilled to be able to offer this experience to 25 members of our community.”
The Healing Touch Team’s participation reflects the growing interest in complementary wellness practices that can be incorporated alongside conventional healthcare.
The team regularly works with community organizations and healthcare-related programs in Greenwich, bringing accessible biofield therapy sessions to people who may not otherwise have an opportunity to experience them.
The Family Centers Community Health Fair brought together local healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations and community resources in an informal setting where residents could learn about services available to them and their families.
Family Centers, Inc., which hosted the event at its Health Center at 75 Holly Hill Lane, has a long history of providing health, human and educational services to individuals and families throughout the region. Events such as the Community Health Fair provide an important opportunity for community members to meet the organizations and professionals working to support local health and wellness.
For the Healing Touch Team, the afternoon was also an opportunity to demonstrate how complementary practices can have a place within a broader conversation about community wellness.
“Community outreach is an important part of what we do,” Kathleen Bacchi said. “We are grateful to Family Centers for inviting us and for creating a space where people could discover different approaches to supporting their health and well-being.”
The Healing Touch Team looks forward to continuing its community partnerships and making biofield therapy accessible to more residents throughout Greenwich and surrounding communities.
