William A. D’Andrea, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on September 3, 1946, to Joseph and Adelaide D’Andrea, Bill earned his degree and devoted his career to landscape architecture and design. He worked alongside his father and brothers at Joseph J. D’Andrea & Sons and D’Andrea’s Nursery, shaping beautiful landscapes throughout the community. Later in life, he took great pride in working beside his son, Derek, at Arch in Bloom, sharing his creativity, knowledge, and talent in landscape design and installations.
Bill was an avid sports fan who loved the New York Yankees, college basketball, and University of Michigan athletics. He was also affectionately known as “Mr. Christmas” and delighted in the traditions, decorations, and joy that the season brought each year.
Above all, Bill treasured his family. He is survived by his loving children, Derek D’Andrea (Jaime Pennella), and Christine O’Reilly (Brian). He was especially looking forward to becoming a grandfather and eagerly awaited the arrival of his first grandson later this year.
Bill is also survived by his brothers, Richard, Joseph, and David D’Andrea, and his former wife, Robin D’Andrea.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Friday, July 24, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Greenwich.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the William A. D’Andrea Memorial Fund at https://everloved.com/life-of/william-dandrea/ or by contacting the family directly.
