Open Arts Alliance Announces Fall 2026 Season Lineup

Open Arts Alliance is proud to announce its exciting Fall 2026 Season. In addition to regular class based programs for students in grades 1-6, the local non-profit is thrilled to announce the return of our popular Junior Ensemble Tour, (JET), as well as an expansion of programming for younger students, ages 3-6.

“We are so excited to present our fall season because it not only includes Seussical KIDS, a colorful musical that captures the excitement, imagination, and sense of possibility that comes with the start of a new school year,” said OAA’s program director, Cindy Busani, adding, “But we are especially thrilled to be launching a brand-new program to introduce our youngest performers to the joy of music, movement and storytelling. We can’t wait to welcome returning and new students to OAA this fall!”

Students in grades 1-6 will have the opportunity to enter the magical world of Dr. Seuss in Seussical KIDS. “Oh the thinks you can think” when Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper! Follow the Cat in the Hat as they tell the story of Jojo, Horton the Elephant, Mayzie La Bird, Gertrude McFuzz and many other memorable characters from the popular Dr. Seuss books! Weekly classes will take place September 5 – November 11, culminating in performances on November 13 and 14.

Rehearsals will take place at the Greenwich Arts Council, 299 Greenwich Avenue, with performances taking place at Round Hill Community Church.

Students in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to be part of Open Arts Alliance’s annual Junior Ensemble Tour (JET), bringing joy to aging adults throughout the community, and returning to the fall for the first time in years. The only OAA program entirely devised and directed by the students, this year’s JET participants will present Shake, Rattle, & Roll!, a lively medley of 50’s classics and hits, and will perform at various senior living facilities in our area on Saturday, November 7.

Students will earn community service hours for participation in this class. Rehearsals will take place Sunday mornings at the Greenwich Arts Council from September 27- November 1.

Open Arts Alliance is also proudly expanding programming for younger performers this fall.

Students ages 5 and 6 will have the opportunity to be part of Winnie The Pooh, in a newly adapted version by Open Arts Alliance from the classic novels by A.A. Milne. Join Winnie The Pooh and his friends on an adventure to celebrate Eeyore’s birthday learning about cooperation and teamwork along the way! This 8-week, drop-off class, is a perfect opportunity to introduce students to live performance. Classes will meet on Saturday mornings September 5 – October 24 at the Greenwich Arts Council.

Open Arts Alliance is also thrilled to announce the launch of OAA’s Storybook Stars, a brand new 8-week program for ages 3 – 4 filled with stories, songs, and imaginative play!

Each class features an interactive storytime, music, and movement activities, designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and encourage social connection. This class follows a “mommy and me” structure requiring an adult caregiver to participate in all classes.

Classes will take place Wednesday mornings September 9 – October 28 at the Greenwich Arts Council.

In addition, Open Arts Alliance will be hosting “Wickedly Fun”, a special Dance Workshop for students in grades 1 – 6, where Morgan India Miller will lead a fun-filled morning of movement, creativity, and musical theater magic inspired by music from the hit Broadway musical Wicked. Dancers will begin with a warm-up and floor work exercises before learning an exciting dance combination set to a song from the show. If your child loves to dance or perform, this one-day workshop is the perfect way to build confidence, make friends, and have a blast dancing through Oz! “Wickedly Fun” will take place on Saturday, November 21 at the Greenwich Arts Council.
