State Rep Steve Meskers Announces Run for a 5th Term to Represent CT’s 150th District

State Representative Steve Meskers on Wednesday announced his campaign for re-election to represent Connecticut’s 150th District, which covers the shoreline area of Greenwich, including Byram and Old Greenwich.

Meskers is running for his fifth tern. He has won re-election to the district multiple times, starting with a historic win against incumbent Mike Bocchino in 2018, breaking a century-long Republican hold on the seat.

In 2020 he defeated Joe Kelly.  In 2022 he defeated Ed Lopez. In 2024 he fended off a challenge from Paul Cappiali.

“Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” said Meskers. “When I first ran, I made a simple promise: to work hard, listen carefully, and stand up for what matters most to the people of Greenwich. Eight years later, that commitment remains at the heart of everything I do.”

“We are living in polarizing times,” Meskers added. “But I have always believed that my responsibility is to represent everyone in this community. Whenever possible—and whenever it’s reasonable—I’ve worked to reach across the aisle, listen to different perspectives, and find solutions that serve us all.”

Meskers said being a State Representative has been the best job he’s had in his life and said he was honored by the trust this community has placed in him.

“I ask for your support once again so I can continue this work.”

Meskers’ announcement said he will focus on sustaining economic vitality, maintaining responsible governance, and preserving the quality of life that defines Greenwich—while continuing his commitment to accessibility, collaboration, and service.

“I’m running again because I care deeply about this community and its future,” said Meskers. “Together, we’ve made real progress—and together, we can keep moving forward.”
