FINN: Vote for Laura Kostin, a proven fighter for our children

Submitted by Jim Finn, Cos Cob

One thing is clear after watching the Board of Education debate on Monday night: Laura Kostin won by a country mile!

Laura detailed her accomplishments related to increasing student achievement as well her work on the Central Middle School Building Committee and supporting projects at Julian Curtiss, Old Greenwich School and the GHS Entryway.  While other candidates were dealing merely in hypotheticals, Laura’s achievements are concrete, impressive and easily measurable.

Inconceivably, the Democratic Town Committee tried to deny her a chance to run in this election. A bunch of unelected people claiming to represent voters attempted to decide the Democratic race for the BOE.  Let that sink in.

Instead, close to 600 voters put her on the ballot, as they did for some of the most celebrated and impactful BOE members in recent memory like Peter Bernstein.

Please vote for Laura on Row A when early voting starts on October 20th or on Election Day, November 4th.
