Greenwich Police arrested two women from Hartford on Sept 4 after an incident on Greenwich Ave involving a criminal trend known to investigators as return fraud.
According to the GPD criminal information summary, on Thursday Sept 4 plain clothes offers observed suspicious behavior in a retail store on on Greenwich Ave and conducted in person surveillance of two co-conspirators.
Sirena Desire Brown, 37, was observed attempting to return several items that had been stolen, in an attempt to defraud and place a financial loss upon the store. Further investigation revealed that she was in possession of several stolen items and three shoplifting devices in her vehicle.
She was charged with Larceny 5, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5 and Conspiracy to Commit Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device.
She also had an active warrant out of Farmington Police Dept for Criminal Trespass and a Violation of Probation warrant stemming from a charge of Burglary 3.
She was unable to post her $100,000 bond and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 19, 2025.

Also arrested was co-conspirator Tiara R Lammy-Dixon, 36, of Hartford. She was charged with Larceny 5, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5 and Conspiracy to Commit Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device.
Her bond was set at $50,000, which she was unable to post. She shares the Sept 19 date with Ms Brown.
