On Monday a crowd of about 40 gathered to mark the official opening of the newly renovated and expanded Cos Cob Branch Library. Plans were developed by Peter Gisolfi Associates from Cos Cob community survey feedback, the recently released 2023-2025 Strategic Plan, and input from the Greenwich Library Board of Trustees, the Friends of Cos Cob Library, and Library leadership and staff.

The renovation and expansion project added 1,120 square feet to the branch, mainly devoted to a new 857-square foot community room. The interior layout shifted the children’s section and moved the adult section to the western part of the building, providing nearly 600 square feet of additional space for children and young adults.
The community is welcome to visit during the branch’s new branch hours: Monday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00am to 6:00pm, Friday and Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and closed Sundays.
The project was supported by a combination of private and public funding including Town capital improvement appropriations, and support from The Friends of Cos Cob Library.
